In the early part of 2002 'The Wallasey Choir' was
formed under the musical direction of
Peter Mills. The 30 strong female choir performs both Nationally and
Internationally and has sung in many prestigious locations such as
the White House, Disneyland-Paris, Disneyworld Florida, the United
Nations, and many cathedrals in the UK and Europe.
The choir's repertoire is varied, ranging from oratorios
& religious music to folk and pop songs including works from Bach and
Handel to the more modern compositions of the
Beatles and Queen.
The choir was established as an amateur,
non-denominational choir, performing in the community to raise money
mainly for
local charities which include St John's Hospice, Claire House and also the Razzett Centre in Malta.
The choir meet every Monday evening during school term time at
Marlowe Rd Church, Marlowe Rd, Wallasey. Rehearsals are from 7.30pm to
9.15pm. New members are always welcome if you would like more
